The famous temple of Muktinath is situated about 18 km north-east of Jomsom on a high mountain at an altitude of about 3,749m. This temple holds a great religious significance for both Hindu and Buddhist pilgrims. There are two ways to get to Muktinath Temple from Kathmandu either taking a direct flight or trek for a few days from Pokhara. Besides a direct chartered helicopter can also be arranged to the shrines from Pokhara, it will be just one and half an hour to complete the trip.
